The implant is positioned in a pocket below the large buttock (gluteal) muscle and above the pelvic bone.
The incisions are closed with sutures, drains are inserted, and a compression garment is worn following surgery.

Buttock implant surgery

Buttock implant surgery is performed at the surgery center with the patient under general anesthesia. The operation takes about 2 hours and most patients can return home the same day. The incision through which the implants are placed is made between the buttocks where any scar will be hidden from view. Sometimes fat grafting is added to the procedure to improve the final outcome and liposuction may also be used to help with the contouring.

The gluteal implants are usually placed within the muscle. However, for larger implants, it may be necessary to put the implant above the muscle. Your surgeon will have go over this with you in detail before the surgery. After the implants are put in place, your surgeon will suture the opening.

The fat grafting procedure

Dr. Fadaee will first use liposuction to gently harvest fat cells – usually from your flanks, waist, and abdomen. The cells are then processed to remove any extraneous fluid or tissue. Finally, the Dr. will use a very thin tube called a cannula to inject the fat cells through tiny incisions strategically placed around your backside.

Most patients are able to resume their normal routine in about two to three days. Because incisions are so small, scars will be virtually undetectable.

Under normal circumstances, the results of your buttock augmentation surgery will be long-lasting.
